The Perfect FORMULA

JPSMGolf began in 2006, after a series of events that were kicked off when my vehicle was stolen. If you don’t know this very interesting story, you can read it here.

However, the most exciting chapter of JPSMGolf began about 4 years ago.

With 15 years representing several brands under our belts, we decided it was time to put our experience to the test. Working with two of our industry partners, the design of a new remote golf trolley commenced….one we could call our own. Everything we had learned about this business was drawn upon to create a trolley that “ticked all the boxes”. We obsessively refined every detail, which finally led to the first working prototype in late 2022. Course testing began in early 2023, and changes commenced. A second prototype was delivered in mid-summer, and once again, improvements were identified and made. It's fun to look back on the videos and pictures now.

At this point, we started to talk about what we would call our new brand. One day I looked at the trolley from above as it sat folded up and thought the shape resembled a race car. During the design process, we had been obsessed with balance, handling, and performance on the course…all things that are key factors in the design of race cars. In the fall of 2023, the name FORMULA was decided.

The next prototype was delivered to my winter home in Naples, Florida, on December 24th, 2023. It felt like an early Christmas gift, and one that validated all our hard work.
 
I rushed over to the club for some quick testing before the course closed for Christmas Eve. The results were overwhelming. Our design, balance, and handling goals were not only met but surpassed. I actually got emotional when I stood and realized what we had accomplished. We hadn’t just built a trolley, we had created something that embodied everything JPSMGolf stands for: innovation, precision, and love of the game.
 
One final improvement was identified, and the launch was set for the 2024 PGA Show in Orlando. Response was very positive. The first production landed in North America mid-summer and sales began.  
 
Fast forward to the 2025 PGA Show in Orlando, where three new colour variations were introduced to the golf world. A non-remote model was also introduced, with final modifications underway and production set for this summer. 
 
International distribution partners have been set up, and the future of FORMULA looks bright. What started as a bold idea, built on decades of experience and a drive for the perfect golf experience, has grown into something we’re incredibly proud to share with golfers around the world.
 
It’s amazing what can happen when your car gets stolen!
